Basically, I take part in all phases of the software life cycle. One focus is at the beginning, in the requirements analysis. In order to properly understand each requirement, the goal to be achieved with the software has to be clear. In the simplest case, misconceptions are avoided in this way. In this way, however, it is also possible to avoid costly and time-consuming rework, which increases customer satisfaction.
In August 2021 I successfully passed the IREB® Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering Foundation Level (CPRE FL) exam on this topic.
In the implementation phase my focus is on the development with C and C++ on Linux and other (preferably unixoid) operating systems. My core competency: I solve problems. Interfaces have been missed or components turn out to be incompatible, contrary to expectations? In these cases, I am able to quickly familiarize myself with the matter in question, acquire the necessary techniques and knowledge and finally eliminate the problem. If necessary also on Windows.
